  28. Try lowering the MaxTransfer rate inside HDToolbox.  This is a common cause
  29. of corrupted data.  (Select "Partition Drive", then "Advanced options",
  30. then "Change" to find the value.)

  39. My 1200 setup includes 2 512 meg HDs and a 2" minifan mounted under the grill.
  40. It's running off a modified IBM-XT 150W PSU.
  41. It's been up and running with ZERO problems for almost 2 years, 8-16 hours a day.
  42. This would not be the case if I had stuck with the standard 1200 PSU.

  47. I would still have to think that read/write errors and corrupted data are
  48. caused by a software problem.  If the HD starts getting unrepairable
  49. bad-blocks, then it might be hardware related.
